  • Max 2 wheel extensions

I am putting the old style snow and mud tracks on my 1999 Max 2,the track inside ofedge just touches the tub, how much clearance is needed? I have wheel spacers, when 5" wheel spacers are called out, does that mean 2 1/2 " on each side of the machine or one spacer per side? The ones I have are out to out each 3 1/8", with a center hole about 1 ". This hole is not big enough to swallow the little axel bump out on the stud plate to fully bear fully against each other. Should they bear fully against each other? I would need to torch the hole bigger to do this. I wonder what machine or brand that this spacer was used on? Was there and axel made that did not have a protrusion on the face where the tire gets bolted to? Thanks for any input.

When it's stated that 5" wheel spacers are called for, that means 5" on each side. 3-1/8" spacers on each side should work alright for you. I believe the factory ones from Recreatives are 3-1/2". The ones you have that are 3-1/8" with a 1" center hole are probably from an Attex, since they used 1" axles, but I could be wrong.

Glad to help. Yes, they should lay flat against the face of the wheel and the other side should lay flat against the hub.
