  • Shortening the travel of the steering system.

Of course this is my first aatv and its a Max IV so I don't really know whats right or wrong as far as setups but it seems to steer my max I have to do a lot of arm movement and travel. Is there a way to shorten the throws I have to do to steer or is a set distance that has to be done? If this is in the wrong forum please move it for me.

Try adjusting the bolts that go into the plungers on the T-20. Turn each of them a little bit (there are 4 of them total) until you get the desired amount of travel.

MAX IV should have 6.5 to 7 inches of travel at the top of the sticks. Any less than this can drag the bands. Lots of info on adjusting T -20 on this site. I also adjust my sticks forward at the linkage under the floor. I like about 2.5 inches from top of sticks to dash.
