How do I make my MAX ll quieter?

Haven't messed with it in a couple years. Put some expensive "quiet" muffler on which didn't do much. I think a lot of the noise comes from the flex hose/pipe, but not sure. Was thinking of wrapping some of that muffler repair "wrap" on the hose. Anyone succeeded with making one of these beasts quiet?
Is there an aftermarket real or hard pipe that can be fitted? Any ideas? Thanks, Ridge

Ear plugs work good and are also cheap, if you want to spend alittle more money you can get Bose head phones

Super Trapp 3S with 6 discs and resonator on the Briggs 16 hp.

It will be loud with that muffler.
Did you do any mods to the engine or carb?

No, the old one (2000 model) was louder and rusting out. Researching, this supposedly was going to make a big difference but you'd have to compare decibels and there probably isn't a lot of difference and my ear isn't calibrated.
