  • Max II WITH TABS ON FRONT hood

    Hey there to all ,
    I just bought another. Oh yeah I am a max owner once again... Can anyone tell me what the tabs on the front hood are for? It's a maxII With AN 18hp Briggs It's in awesome shape... I pick it up Saturday. I think it's a late 90's or early 2000. Has round headlights. I will try and get more pics. Oh yeah and. RI SENT ME ALL THE MANUALS IN PDF. ...SALISBURY shop manual,T20 parts /service and max breakdown, operators manual , service bulletin and current parts price list If anyone wants them I can forward them all....

    This is the mid 90's Max II from Toledo, Ohio Craigslist. I recognize this machine. Those tabs were added by someone, they're not a factory installed option. I really have no idea what the guy put them on there for.

      Looks like something to do with either a folded down windshield or auxiliary lights.

        The guy I'm buying it from says they are very heavy duty tabs....And .i have only seen it in pictures until tomorrow...

            I am now a true max believer..... I ended up buying the 1997-98 MaxII ... It has the 18 hp Briggs, roll bar, 22 inch tires, I so far put all new chains, new throttle cable. I am now making new seat and seat back..... I finally drove it yesterday and .. All I can say is WOW..... AMAZING POWER... Climbing turning .... Have to say thanks to. Lewis and JP. You guys saved me a lot ..I did end up calling RI . THE HELP WAS GREAT... THANKS AGAIN Lewis and JP. Pictures coming soon

              Always happy to help! And thanks to Amphibious Drew on this too, his digging found out some very important info on the machine to help leverage a better deal. Glad to hear it's up and going. The 18HP Briggs is a GREAT engine for a smaller machine like a Max II.....certainly lots of power.
