Max II Chain Adjuster Question

2003 850T. I adjusted my chain by pulling the adjuster up; Problem is I think it’s adjusted too tight. Now I can’t get the adjuster moved back down a little bit. There is little or no play in the chain. I thought I could just drive it and it will stretch a little, But figured I’d ask before I did that. Any Help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

You have to pry the adjuster away from the frame to let it ratchet back down. Unless the chain is just ridiculously tight, you should be fine the way it is and the chain will stretch as you drive it. The ratcheting adjusters don't allow for much fine tuning.

If you set the adjuster by hand it's not to tight. If it was pried to tighten it should be released and set by hand.
