New to Max Iv and Searching

Hey guys I am new to the world of 6x6's. I have settled on purchasing the Max IV as I feel it will fit my needs the best. I am the middle stages of my search for a used Max and was hoping for some advice from the members in here. After reading many posts I determined to go with a 18 HP or higher motor and am looking to find a 2000 or newer model. I have searched craigslist and every website I can find for used models. Currently there is a 2006 or 07 model (according to owner), I am getting the serial number to confirm manufacturing date. It has a 25 HP Kolher V-twin with low miles and generally to be in very good condition. In researching I have read posts about the older Kohler V-twin engines and some issues. Is the 2006-07 year something I should be worried about? Any additional information when buying used would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Where are you located? There is a buyers guide on this site. Be sure you look at the rear frame area below the transmission. Pre 2008 don't have all the frame upgrades. Post some detailed pics of interroir and exterior,members on this site will pitch in and help inspect. I've seen so many used nightmares,let us help you find a good one. If it has the 25hp kohler in it then its between a 2000 and 2005 year model. Those are the years RI put the kohler 25hp in the Max IV's or 900T's. Good luck

Arranger thanks for the input. How were those engines and is there any concerns I should have?

They are a good torquey engine.
