  • max 2 tow a fiero?

My 1985 fiero's fuel pump went out yesterday-My question is will my max 2 be able to tow the fiero from my front yard over the lawn to the backyard to my garage. Its just a normal lawn no hills.I have a 1 7/8" ball on my max and its mounted to the frame. That little fiero is to heavy to push on the grass,my girlfriend and I tried to push it and I felt like a real wuss after moving it about 10 feet then quitting!

Give it a shot. I have towed my max Iv on the trailer with my Attex. I don't think your car is that much heavier and with no hills, just keep up your momentum over the grass and you should be fine.
l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!

Tell the girlfriend to push while you pull with the max then. I still say try it!

I'm not really sure why you would even ask this type of question.A simple garden tractor will move a rolling vehicle, you even said you pushed it 10 feet. Why wouldnt you think a Max would not pull it?????

The fiero has a v6-my max is actually a scrambler body with a max frame and a 13hp engine-the 6x6 is extremely light-I have a 1968 sears ss12 garden tractor that seems heavier duty than the 6x6-I have a 20 foot well craft boat that the garden tractor can pull-but the front end gets lifted off the ground and I cant steer due to the hitch weight-The max 2 frame just seems kind of cheesy the way the hitch is attached to the frame with 5/16 bolts so I figured I would ask before I burned up a t20 band or ripped the frame up.I love my 6x6 its just very light-I can lift the front end up by hand and I can lift the rear up by hand-The fiero I am not able to do this and it seems like there is nothing on this website that states a clear towing capability-everything I have read states 900 lb towing which seems very light-I cant find any info on tongue weight. Thanks for the replies I will give it a shot.

You'll spin the tires before you break anything....specially on grass...but a good rule of thumb is if the motors revving....and tires ain't spinning....and your not moving....stop cause something has to give at that point. Plus with a 13hp your gonna have a hard time snapping something.

I just pulled my 70 mecedes across my yard with two flat tires without any problems. that included a bit of a incline and on plastic tracks. 6x6, 16hp.
have at it, you should have no problem.

I must make a fancy sign of this and post it at work. One day people might learn.
