Got all the ice melted and out. It helped but did not eliminate the issue. When driven forward it still wants to favor going to the right to the point of being unusable. What's odd is that it backs up straight and true...

What do you guys use to degrease the chains etc that does not effect the plastic tub? Mine really needs to be degreased/cleaned and re-lubed.

If it is going straight and true in reverse then I would check the shift linkage to see if is engaging properly on the affected side. I'd also check the transmission output sprocket. Do the control levers move an equal distance or when going forward does one move forward a lot further? When you hold them forward to go forward do they feel firm or does one feel like it isn't pushing against something?

After checking that I'd pull the shift group out of the affected side and look inside and check the shift collar for damage. Someone may have tried forcing it into gear and broke off a section of the collar.

are all your chains on the sprockets? I had the bearing on the tensioner idler sproket for the main drive chain lock up and it threw the chain completely off the 34 tooth sprocket. wouldnt turn left at all! It would still roll though.

He says his will go in reverse just fine so that makes me think shift collar or not going into gear all the way when put in forward. I'm think bent shift linkage or a broken shift collar.

The output sprocket may be so bent over saw toothed that it catches in reverse but not forward but like it was said you should be able to pick up on that quick by just checking the chains and sprockets.

With the chain and sprocket train of thought there could be a wrench or tool or piece of debris in there jambing things in forward but letting it slip by in reverse.
