i just finished mid axle bearings, adjusters, new mid sprockets and chains all the way through.... had a leak in the front right and left rear. i was able to rope caulk the drivers side rear and started in on the front right and the allen screw was bound up on the brake rotor...i tried tapping, then let it soak with liquid wrench then heat then stripped it off so i had to cut it off with a die grinder....question is....if the other side is the same way does anyone know how to loosen the thing up...two hours with a die grinder aint too much fun.

Advice from my dad is that after heating it and letting it cool, you take a BFH and hold it tight against one side of the hub, then smack the hub hard with another hammer from the opposite side. This causes the metal in the hub to deform a bit and breaks the connection between the hub and shaft.

thanks for the advice guys...i was taking it easy on the heat cause i had enough grease and liquid wrench floating around the tub to fry fish.......I used a die grinder and slowly worked my way from the top of the rotor to the axle using a BFH and wedge on it as i went....stopping to cool myself with an adult beverage along the way.....that may be why it took two hours.. ...i knew this rebuild was going way too easy....i just hope the other side turns loose easily...thanks again for the advice and replies...
