There is one thing you should consider if buying a 900T around the '99-00 year model. On the rear axle, RI used two individual sprockets instead of a dual one-piece sprocket. This is a very weak design. At the very least, the sprockets get very loose and the chain jumps off (taking sprocket teeth with it). At the worst, the axle twists completely in half. You should count on upgrading those rear sprockets if you have a vehicle like that and plan to do anything more than ride it on gentle trails. Plan on about $122 for each side (so $244 for the job) and installing the new sprockets with snap rings.

The new engine cover might go on there but I can't be sure. On a new vehicle, the rear seat was moved 3" back for more legroom. The engine cover comes very close to the engine and I'm not sure if they moved the mounts back or not. In my opinion, the new body style Max IVs (square headlights) are worth paying a little extra for if you can find one. Many nice improvements were made.
