Finally life slowed down enough for me to do some field trials with my 95 Max IV. And I have to say that the months of watching you guys on YouTube is nothing compared to getting behind the sticks yourself. Went for a short trip across an old gravel pit pond , then went and found some places my old 4wheeler would have got stuck just looking at. Only played for about an hr but loved every minute..

akranger72 I met up with AKBUFF to check out his tracks and boy did msafi65 set him up sweet. I'm on the fence with the Red spring though I kinda like my top end, but I can see where the torque could come in handy too. Two bad theres not a two speed gear box assosciated with these T-20's lol1995 Max IV

hi
The red spring does not change the top speed it just accelerates a little slower by having u in a lower gear longer . Top speed is eventually achieved . MAX and MIN speeds are influenced the most by the transmission and sprocket gear ratios. The tuning of clutches is really all about the best performance ""gear changing ""with the influences being conditions ,hp, vehicle and last operator .

That's a very good explanation, Tomo.Originally posted by Tomo View Posthi

Must of had lower gearing in addition to the clutch spring swap. I may look into that red spring after all. Where can you order one?1995 Max IV

Yes I notice a differance in my Max IV with the red spring when I'm in the boggs here at my place I also noticed that it seems to go up steep hills better. I have also noticed that I still have a good top end speed though. I'm taking the buffalo back up to Mark and have him gear it down with 34 tooth jack shaft sprockets. I want it to have a little more torque since I hardly ever plan on going over 15mph. Maybe next year I will go to 13 tooth sprockets in the Max IV? It would be nice to have a two speed gear box yes.Originally posted by BadBradII View Postakranger72 I met up with AKBUFF to check out his tracks and boy did msafi65 set him up sweet. Yes Seth has bigger jack shaft sprockets along with the red spring in his buffalo. I think Mark has some red springs in stock? If not he can order you one or you can call RI yourself.Originally posted by BadBradII View PostMust of had lower gearing in addition to the clutch spring swap.
