99 max starts with choke then dies and wont run

I went through my girlfriends dads whole max today. It is a 1999 with a 14 hp v twin briggs. I powerwashed the whole inside out and tightened all the chains and lubed everything up. when i got it running my girlfriend hopped in and drove it like a bat out of hell and it ran fine until it didnt. she turned a corner and it died. i cleaned the carb out, that didnt work. checked gas lines, everything is fine there. I have no idea why it wont run. if i choke it it runs for a couple seconds and dies. it wont start unless its choked.

Did you get water in the gas tank? If I were working on this I would dump the tank fill it with new gas take the gas line off the carb and blow into the gas tank until new gas came out the gas line and check the main jet for a blockage. check any gas filters also.
