  • Anybody done a foot throttle?

I was just thinking it could be a nice upgrade for longer rides...or when pulling the right stick on an easy turn . I have been tossing around the idea but im not sure how to go about it...or if it would even he worth the effort?

    Input?

Several of the older (1970 vintage) machines had them. The bouncy ride you get with no suspension makes it nearly impossible to keep the throttle where you want it. The only reason it worked at all on those older machines is the small 2 stroke motors had so little torque.[IMG][/IMG]

I dunno if a foot throttle works all that well, But im currently working on a "tractor style" lever throttle mounted to the left hand side arm rest. Id like to keep my hand throttle too is really the only thing holding me up at this point, but ill get it figured out.
We're not stuck, just momentarily stopped moving!

The dual throttle is a simple enough mechanism....With the "lever" controlling the throttle minimum, and the "hand" control being able to raise the RPM beyond that minimum.
I would really stress here that springs on the laterals would be a very bad thing. It could easily cause a runaway machine.
