  • Max IV deer haulin rack

Finished up this rear rack today. I made the main supports out of left over 1 1/2" x 2" angle from the body band and picked up some 1 1/2" angle and a piece scrap expanded metal from the local metal shop. It's mounted with the last 2 body band bolts and the front angle rests across the body band so it's pretty darn sturdy and easily removed. Guess I've got about $35 in it. Need to drill some holes around the perimiter for lashing and I'll be done.

Hope to test it with a nice buck this season!

Is that bolted to the belly band? Looks nice.

Edit: guess I should read and not just look at pictures

I like that. Been thinking about something along that line myself. Didn't I see on here somewhere you live in Vicksburg?

Cool! I work for the Corps of Engineers there at the harbor. I'll call next time I'm back from a job and come by and see that neat Max you've got.

Hey, best outfit on the planet! Is there any place good to ride around Vicksburg? My boy is in a hunting camp around Yazoo City and says we can ride there till mid September but this is our work season so I'm not normally around VKS till the winter. If you know someplace good I might bring my Max up from Florida some weekend when I'm off.

We're planning to go here for a Labor Day of riding. Haven't been there yet but everybody I've talked to says it's a hoot. Different kinds of riding to suit anyone's taste.

Not really except private land, AATV's are too wide for public land.

I've seen the Boggs and Boulders website but never been there, looks like fun.

That looks like it will definitely do the trick, strong, light and easily attached to the max. Good job! Hope the next pic has an ol mossy horned monster buck tied in place ready to haul out of the woods...

Nice Rack you made there. I made one that will work with my rear mounted winch on my machine.

Nice work on the rack. Killer tires on your ride too. Hope you get a big buck to test it out.
