  • painting a max2?

The max 2 that im going to be picking up soon is red and id like to change that but im afraid if I paint it itll flake off and look like crap. Id like to paint it green or camo. Just wondering what the results were for people who have painted one.

      Results from painting:
Good initially, then the plastic flexes and.....you got it, peeling and flaking.
Hmmmm, I just happen to have a camo top. Where are you located?

Stop what you are doing and put the paint down. It won't work out well for you. It is the fastest way to loose value on your machine. The best option is to buy buggymans or call RI and see if they will sell you a blem upper. I am sure they will give you a good deal on it if they have any available.
l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!

What do you mean when you say blem? Just a little bad spot when it came out of the mold? I assumed it wouldnt work well. It doesnt have to be camo. I look green and tan too. I just dont like the red. Doesnt look good out in the woods.

The blemished bodies are ones that can't be sold as new machines. Scratched, gouged, wrong/improperly cut holes, mold imperfections, etc. No one wants to buy a new machine in less than perfect condition.
In the past, you could show up in Buffalo and buy the blems very reasonably priced. They would not ship them. I don't know if that practice will continue after the move to Shipshewanna.

What they said. And its a pia to remove. Many hours on a few of my machines. Probably took them 10 min. to do. Lol

I like red tops. To bad you are to far away or I would trade you for the tan top I have but like I said just to darn far.

I'd be open to that but like you wrote.
