  • 1995 MAX IV axles size

The axles I have on my machine are 1.25". I ordered a part and they said that the axle size of pre2000 6x6 was one inch and then 1.25 post 2000 splined. I ordered the pre and received parts that would fit a 1" axle. Is that correct? Did the prior owner of my 6x6 upgrade my axles to the splined? How can I tell the difference between the splined and unsplined axles by looking at them?

    Thanks

My machine is a '94 and my axles are 1.25", non splined. The non splined axles are smooth and have a cross drilled 7/16" hole that holds the sprocket tube to the axle. The splined axles have a series of cuts that run parallel to the length of the axle. The sprocket tubes have a matching shape so that when slide onto the axle they can't spin. It sounds like you need 1.25" non splined axles for your application.
