My muffler is shot on my 97 max 11. I want to replace it with something quite any suggestions. The max has a 14 hp birggs motor.

Route 6X6 quiet muffler kit
I replaced my old muffler on my Max II with the quiet kit from Route 6X6 and it is a nice piece of goods, no regrets and easy straight forward install. On the website there is even a project detail that shows an install how-to.

Hey Chokker,
If you wanted to experiment and maybe save some cash, I always wondered how a stock motorcycle muffler would sound/perform?? You can pick them up for next to nothing at motorcycle salvage shops, maybe route the exhaust outside the vehicle....Hammers should have warning labels.Comment
