Rusty-check the "strange add ons" thread. Look at the Max 2 Adondo has posted. I like the way the rear loop is bent up and the diagonal braces on the rear, sure would be stronger than mine.

That's much better than my "recipe" to build something by.

I'll get a better look at these pics from our home computer later. My phone is a bit
small. Thanks for the info guys. I'm sure others will benefit from this as well.

Chris... I assume you're refering to the roll cage photo/diagram. It comes out blurry whenever I print it out. I am unable to verify the measurements shown on it.

I have yet to begin the roll cage project. Adam moved to Anchorage last year and hasn't had the time to do much here. I haven't bought tubing either.
Adam did say today he will look for tubing when he returns to Anchorage (he was in town this week). He said he is still interested in welding up my roll cage so this is good.

two reasons. First. it would be heavy . second very weak ! The threadid part will Brake under pressure and could Hurt or KILL you !
I would rather see a exhaust pipt deal over that set up !!!!
I make all my roll bars out or .095 or thicker tubeing and cusset them for safty . I have ALOT of race cars out on the track now with NO roll cage faleures !
Best I can tell you is Don,t scimp to save money on something that can come apart and hurt you When it was made to save you !! Sorry your mot closer as I would buld you a Safe cage.

I don't have a bender either. My friend Tim moved away this past winter, now I don't have a bender.
I'm thinking welding the corners, with gussets, might work. Any problems with this approach?

I have drawn a roll bar plan based on the original equipment design. I believe I made it 2" taller than OEM and assume that it will be welded permanently to the body band or rails. I am going to have it made this weekend and wanted to get some "professional" opinions on it. Plans are at the link below.

The hoops on the factory style cage will get caught on trees in off-camber situations. I built a cage for my Attex with the hoops for and aft to allow the cage to slide along trees without getting caught. Also an angled front helps push the tree limbs up and over the machine.

I drafted a version designed using side loops as suggested. Will be sending this to the fabricator in the morning.

Looks good. I hope it works for you. I would do mine a little different if I were to do it again, but I'm happy with it. I also take a piece of Plexiglas and zip tie it to my cage for a windshield in the winter. I added a bug deflector and roof to mine since that picture was taken.
