Has anyone successfully outfitted their Max IV with LED headlights? The factory headlights are quite dim, and after putting led headlights and two led flood lights on my Hustler, I'm spoiled. I have searched ebay and the web for a replacement light assembly with no luck. Any suggestions?

Depending on what lights you have, here's a couple options.
The round PAR 36 type bulbs, such as the 35 watt GE 4414 can be replaced by one of these:
Good 'n' bright, but about $60 each. Par 36 LED Lamp Light Headlight Tow Truck 12V 4 5" inch Round 4411 PAR36 12 Volt | eBay
About the same output as a 35 watt bulb, but only needs 9 watts: LED 9W PAR36 12V AV DC High Power Lamp Bulb 5050 LED 800LM WW | eBay
Or, light up a HALF MILE of terrain ahead with an LED Lightbar such as the one I installed: 30" Single Row Offroad LED Light Bar Rigid Baja Totron Rhino RZR | eBay
Here's my Max II with the 30" bar on the top of the roll cage.
What that bar does. (Sitting in the machine, in my driveway) The neighbor's tree across the road is about 250 feet away.
A close up one of the 9 watt LED headlights in my Max. They're about the same as the original headlights, except with only 25% of the current draw, leaving more alternator power for other things.

How do them headlights light up without that light bar? Are they brighter than stock?
The $60 each lights would be a vast improvement over stock, but that same $120 would buy a light bar just about as easy. They can be smaller and cheaper, like 10 inch bars. You can get them in increments, like 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 inch. I have a 40" on my Jeep's roof rack, and it's like the sun came out when it's on. You can also go with a double row light bar, but the elements are 3 watts each instead of 5 watts each, so they're not all that much brighter size for size. I have a 20 inch double row hiding behind the grill of my Chrysler 300, and it's BRIGHT. (About 7,500 lumens)
Also note that you can get different patterns, spot, flood, or combo spot/flood light bars. The 30" on my Max is a combo, which means the outer 4 elements on each end are a wide beam for side-throw, with the center ones spots for reach. Those are the absolute best for an off-road machine of any type."Sand is pavement to a 6x6!"

You could also get this PAR 36 LED 100W equivalent aircraft landing light that replaces the 4509 incandescent bulb. WHELEN PARMETHEUS LED REPLACEMENT 14V LANDING LIGHT - PAR 36 - PLED1L from Aircraft Spruce

Thanks alot guys for you input. All of the info that was give was great. I was looking for a replacement for the stock Max IV light assembly, kind of like a plug and play deal. I was wanting a clean factory look with the bright performane of about 5500 lumes. It looks like there is no such thing unless I do some surgery with a plastic welder to the stock light housing, adding an HID bulb and Ballast or some sort. For the sake of conveinence, I think that I may as well install seperate spot/flood lights or light bar like Adondo has, but I have a concern as of placement,,, wanting to keep a clean look and all?!?! I'll figure something out, and post my decision. Thanks guys!!HUSTLEMANIAC and a HONORARY MEMBER of the

I just installed new 4x6 LED headlights on my 2000 MAX IV and they are awesome. I previously had the factory headlights with halogen bulbs (it came from the factory with ordinary 1156 bulbs). The new LEDs are very bright, almost as bright as my 22" dual row LED lightbar.

New 22" LED Lightbar
New 4x6 LED headlights are from Amazon, but any 4x6 size headlights should fit in the rubber boot.
