  • Max 2 winch

Hey everyone, I want to put a winch on my 94 max 2. I'm not wanting to spend a lot on one, I remember jpswift saying he got a good one for around $50.00. Anyone have input? As always THANK YALL.. NORM.

Hey Norm, what's going on buddy? A winch that I started off with, and proven to be pretty darn good and for a good price is the 3500lb Harbor Freight, Badlands Winch 3500 lb. Electric ATV/UTV Winch with Automatic Load-Holding Brake . It's strong and fast, and at $109, not a bad deal,, I enjoyed it when I had my 93 Max II. Cory also installed one on his wife's old 2003 Max II, when she had it. The only problem that I ever had, was that the wired remote connectors would get loose. Soldiering the wires or replacing the quick-disconnect with stronger ones would work wonders. If there are winches that have better or the same quality for a cheaper price, like Jeff mentioned, then of course go for it. For sure if you have no desire of keeping the machine, the cheaper route would be best. There are members that have tried some of the more expensive top brands like Warn, Smittybuilt, etc,,, so there are lots of options available. I hope that I was able to help!!
