  • worn sprockets info

I am fairly new to this and I don't want to make any unneeded mistakes so does anyone have some pictures of what a worn out sprocket looks like. I am in the middle of building a 2006 max 2 and wanted to make sure they are all ok before I put them in. I will post some pictures of what I have when I get home, Thanks

Here's a snapshot from Lewis' build. These are pretty bad, but don't show the worst "shark finning" I've seen.

Oh, here's a good shot from tubcrawler's fix-up. Nice 'finning there.

      How do these sprockets look?

How do these sprockets look to the experts? If the teeth are too worn to be re-used I will take the opportunity to go to 13 teeth, but I'd rather stop throwing money at this thing if I can.

      Thanks.

Don't even think about reusing those, just toss them in the can. If its worth rebuilding, do it right. The worst thing to have to do is to take a machine back apart after a partial restore to address the items that should have been taken care of initially.
