  • camo paint? or 3m camo vynal?

I'm going to camo my max and I am wondering what would be the best way to accomplish this task. I have 20cans of the Rust Oleum camouflage flat paint in all different colors and I also have about 10yrds of the mossy oak 3m vynal from another camo job I did on my 4×4. My questions are has anyone used either and what is your opinion on both. I know that the vynal doesn't take well to porous material but I don't know if the paint will just become a scratched mess that I will have to eventually have repair with touch up after a few trail rides. Let me know what you think

Both will start out looking as good as camo can look. After a few rides it will all look like crap. The value of your machine will drop dramatically. Pick your poison because it really doesn't matter which method you choose that won't work.
l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!

Well I can appreciate that drew but resale value of the vehicle doesn't mean that much to me because when you see my funeral the the hurse carrying mt casket will also be pulling a trailer with my max on it and there's a grave plot next to mine for my max. I love my amphib so much the only trouble with it is I haven't figured out how to get it through the front door and get it in bed with me.

I would wrap it instead of paint it. The wrap will hold up to the flexing of the plastic body a little better than the paint and seems to pressure wash off easier when you get tired of it.

Thanks Mike I am leaning towards the wrap the only draw back I see is the little dimples in the body from the molding process the vynal tends to bubble on material that isn't smooth.

I've seen the wrap on both a Max2 and a Hustler 950, within six months the wrap was failing all over. I would just keep the machine the way it is and soldier on.

              Camo

My Max ll was camo painted when I bought it and looks pretty cool ( pic doesn't do it justice) it's never scratched or peeled I don't know what kind of paint was used, but I couldn't get it off if I wanted too.

That's a nice lookin camo. If mine looked that good I wouldn't wanna pound it through the woods. Glad it's holding up for you.
What it lacks in ground clearance it makes up for with traction.
