Removing Top Body

Hi Guys,
New 2005 Max II 16HP owner here in So. California. I tried to search this but didn't find any complete info. I noticed when I tried to remove the top, there are wires to the lights, and the choke cable zip tied to the top. I cut the zip tie, but what wires do you take off to remove the top completely. It's pretty hard to work on these with the worthless hood bracket. Thanks!

Everything connecting the upper to lower bodies has to be disconnected in some way. Wiring, choke cable, fuel line etc. I thought about incorporating some quick disconnects in the future. I believe member "Amphibious Drew" supported his gas tank independent from the upper body off the frame...brilliant. Good luck and have fun.

Thanks for the info. I was just looking at it scratching my head.

As for the inside, do you cover the motor and power wash the inside of the tub?
