  • Supporting a MaxIV during rebuild?

Haven't been around here since late last year and now that things have eased up around my place.....it's time to start redoing/modifying my MaxIV. Since this project will probably take me a while to complete I was curious on how to jack up and support my rig during the project. Couldn't find any info during a search here or in my owners manual. Some of the options I've considered is blocking up on each end, running a 2x12 down the middle under the tub or a combination of both. Don't want to do it the wrong way (sagging?) and cause problems later. Back in August I was really excited to get after it on the rebuild but, some things came up. Anyway hoping to get started soon. Hoping to take lot's of pictures (still need to get me a good camera) along the way. Hoping to share here. Thanks,Patrick.

Block it up on each end and you should be good to go. I wouldn't think you should have to worry about body sagging especially if you are taking stuff off of it.

We use old hospital patient trolleys, they just fit between the Argo wheels and have a flat top. They also pump up and down, makes it easier to work on the Argo then .

Thanks for the replies. Last night I finally did come across a picture of one being supported by 6 jackstands. Thanks, Patrick.
