  • RIM 6x6 Year question?

New to the forum and have a couple questions about a RIM 6x6. I saw this 6x6 and was looking to buy but the seller says he thinks it a 1994, but it has a two stroke (Chaparral) engine? It looks like 70-80's but I'm not sure. What are some of the thing I need to look for? I'm a retired Marine and am a mechanic but have never worked on one of these. What would be a fair price if this in good shape? Are the parts still available? Where are some parts sources for this 6x6? How hard is it to convert to a four stroke and is worth it?

    Thanks for any help
    Ted

Find out what the serial number is. It's on a tag on the dash unless its been removed.

I didn't see one but I'll go back and look. What years did they put the two stroke in?

Rims were made in the 70's. The seller is either clueless or trying to pull a fast one. The rim could be a good machine, but I would look for a Max IV that came with a 4-stroke.
l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!

I'm guessing clueless and if I could get it cheap and convert it what would be a good price to start at? Can you still get parts for this and where? I know about engines but what driveline parts should I be concerned with?

          Thanks
