  • New Max 2 - 27 or 29 HP available soon!

So I am considering either a complete overall on my Conquest or just buying a new Argo. So I said to myself "self ! Why not check out a new Max 2?"
I know there completely different ect.. ect.. ect.. but my thoughts were I can buy 2 new Maxs u know for the kids and the wifey. I called RI and talked with the sales guy there. He told me they are coming out with a 27 or 29 HP Kohler the Max 2s. Pretty cool I think. Maybe u all know this and I'm a bit slow but oh well gives me an excuse to post something anyway
I also like that they are using 530 and 520 oring chains now to. Pretty heavy duty for that little light weight Max..... I like it I think.
They said they haven't announced it to the public yet but they will soon. I just want to make sure they commit to this excellent idea. End of April is when they should be available.

A 27 or 29 in that machine would be AWESOME....now if they just figure out how to put the 26" Vendetta tires under it.

Ohh yeah, it is insane in that little machine. Site member WMCouncil has a 27hp Kawasaki liquid cooled in his 2002? Max II, and it screams. A few guys saw it in action at Busco a few rides ago and were all amazed! I like and promote the idea of the 27 or 29 Kohler for the already agile machine! You will surely enjoy it!!

I've had a 28efi kohler in my max ii for about 5 years now. Matt spent a lot of time checking out how I did mine.

Yes, Tom you've had your EFI Kohler in your Max for quite a while. And Mike did a Kohler EFI swap in his Attex a few years back as well. Also, the 520/530 O-ring chains have been available on the Max models for the past 15 years or so.

The Kohler 28 hp efi has been out for awhile, looks like a great fit for the Max line up, give or take a hp or two.

Matt should produce his Mudd-Ox 6x6 with a T-20 trans. Those use large tires. They look the coolest.

The only thing with the bigger engine is the cooling problem. Matt preib the engineer from ri helped me with that. When RI tried to fit the 25 kohler in the max II they couldn't get the temp low enough for kohler to warranty it.

They will need an electric fan or something to keep it cool. Pretty easy problem to fix I would think. How are those Mudd Ox's now? I have heard so much chatter about there dependably. They look like a great machine. Big price tag with the gas engine in them?

Is the 520 a much stronger chain than the #60?
