wheeel base dimensions 1995 Max IV

I have a 1995 max iv. I want to drive it up on a pickup for transport to Canada, I have a 53inch wide opening in the tail gate, Does anyone know if the older ones were less than 58 inches wide?

I think they are all 56"

You could build an elevated platform inside the bed that is even with the top of the tailgate. A lot of guys do that to get over the wheel wells in the bed but yours would just be higher. You could also try to find some really skinny wheels and tires to install temporarily. You would only need four of them. If the height of the bed is lower than the tub over the tires, then it may fit that way.
