Change Max controls to Argo style grips?

Is this possible to do? I really like the Argo style grips. Not sure I love the motorcycle throttle but I could change that to a thumb throttle. Just feels much more comfortable than the standard max ones. Wondering if anyone may have done this

I would think it is very possible to do. If you take and fab your sticks with the 90 degree bend at the top for your handle bars then out fit it with a thumb throttle it should be a simple mode, you would only need to use handles that are a little longer than the standard ones and put a 90 degree bend in it. You might be able to get the thumb throttle from any atv parts shop and mount it. Only problem I could see is finding a throttle cable long enough.

Yes! This is a picture of JerseyBigfoot's Max IV. I'm assuming you mean the two laterals-style "Argo grips" versus the newer T-handle in the newer models. Adapting a T-20 to a T-handle would be a bit more difficult.

cwilliams, you might find a new are used pair of bicycle handlebars that you can cut at the bend and attach to the max handles. if the bike ones are the same i.d. as the max ones, connect them with a strong dowel,or piece of pipe or solid rod. run a small bolt thru each to keep in place. johnboy va.
