  • Buffalo Truck roll cage weight and material?

Hi. I did a search on this but couldn't determine the weight of a factory roll cage nor it's material.
I did learn the pipe is noted as "black pipe" of which could be because it is painted black. Is it common black iron pipe?
I also learned it is 1 5/8" OD.

I ask because I would like to build one. Thanks.

The buffalo built cages were 1 1/4" schedule 40 black iron pipe. They are connected with 1" black pipe at front and rear of cage and also at the body line. 1 1/4" pipe is 2.28 pounds per foot. The body metal was 2x 1-1/2 x 3/16 angle iron and it weighs 2.12 pounds per foot. I have a truck in the shop this week if you want dimensions.

I did print out the diagram for the Max IV roll cage but the measurements (numbers) are blurry. The IV andBuffalo Truck cages seem the same except for the distance from the bars that allow for two passengers vs four passengers.
