Great job on the Max and the walleye. My Max IV is in shop getting a custom cover made. Getting track/tires from Mudox, they are only 20 miles away. Where in Wisconsin do you live? We need to travel a few hundred miles to get save ice now-a-days. Might plan a trip to Wisconsin this winter.

Thanks guys. Moldman you will like the tracks and top this winter. I'm near Tomahawk WI.
What it lacks in ground clearance it makes up for with traction.

Thanks guys. Noel I do give away some fish but you're just a little too far away. I hope the hurricane misses you.

              Big tracks for the Max

I finally got a set of Adair tracks for the IV. Although it was a stretch putting them on 25”x12”x9” Rawhides I was able to make room for everything. Member kghills did this quite some time ago. Figured I’d try it. Had to get rid of the hump under the front seat by heating with a heat gun and push it up. Then lifted the whole body. This thing has been heated , stretched, pulled, and lifted more than the Kardashian’s lol. But it all turned out good. I gained about 3 1/5” of ground clearance by doing this. I may put some stainless on the tracks at some point for Ice since this is used primarily for ice fishing.

Looks Great! I am a big Ice Fishing fan myself. Have Max IV that I need to get tracks on. Did you just lift / move up the body around the perimeter above the tires for clearance?

I was looking so intently at the tracks I didn't notice the custom doors till I went back further in the thread. You have an Awesome machine. I will have to implement some of your mods on my machine.

Thanks, that’s why I post these mods. Maybe someone can benefit from them. The body is lifted around the perimeter by the roll cage. Also had to get rid of the hump under the front seat as pictured. This was an experiment since it calls for 21” or 22” tires when running tracks.

                      Traction for ice

Here’s what I came up with for a little traction while on ice. I wanted something that would skid steer nice that I can use year round. Putting all these on wasn’t too bad with the aid of a jig.

How wide is the machine outside to outside of track? Any spacers on the wheels?
                        Thanks, David

                          66” wide. 3” spacers

Machine looks great did you make the sides for the top?

Thanks. Yes the sides are made from plywood with magnets to hold the doors closed. The side curtains were a pain with the zippers and the plastic would crack in the cold weather.
