If you will search the site, there are several good ideas that members have posted. I'm not sure if you have a Max II, IV or Buffalo but here's a couple of pictures of setups in a Max IV:

I got mine at walmart and easy to install. follow the directions in the package takes an hour at most.Comment

The (whale) 550 and 650 are the only pumps I've found that lay in the tub perfectly of a max4. Check eBay, they are kind of pricey.. NormComment
