  • 2007 Max IV sprockets

I am looking at replacing all of the sprockets on my max at the same time that I replace all of the chain. Where can I find the best price on these? Is anyone aware of any company running special deals right now? Disabled veteran discounts? Feel free to pm with a reply since the answer to this may not be allowed in the forums considering business are not allowed to post replys.

I bought everything for mine from Surplus Center. They seemed to have the best deal.

No. They sell plain sprockets with a round hole in the center. Useful if you're making new sprocket/tube setups for the old style axles. Not so useful if you've got the splined ones.

Surplus center stocks the hubs for the weld-a-sprockets as well as the sprockets. The hub used for splined axles is out of stock often, but I have purchased them there before.

The weld-a-sprocket will be the cheapest price, especially if you put them together yourself. You could pm whipper and see what he would charge to make you a set.

Problem is the entire sprockets "rattle" on the splines. The fitment of the sprocket to splines is very slopy. So I don't see that the weld a sprockets would help that.

They would work, but you need to use them with a new splined hub. The splined hub I believe is on back order through surplus center though, and you would need a hub for every sprocket not just 1 per assembly or axle.

When I last contacted Surplus Center about the availability of the X-series (2" dia.) splined hubs, they weren't even sure they were going to be getting them again. G&G Mfg also supplies them, but don't do retail sales that I'm aware of. Places like Buffalo Bearing carry the G&G splined hubs if you need to source them. There are others, but these are my local guys....

                              W1-1/4SP6 1-1/4" 6 SPLINE BORE HUB

will this work for the splined axles?
