  • 2000 MAX IV Info Request

I am looking at purchasing a 2000 Max IV and would like some input on issues I should be looking for.

It has an 18 HP B&S engine with 90 hours on it and from the pictures, everything looks pretty good.

    Any and all input welcome.

    Thanks in advance,

Use the used AATV buyers guide on the home page. The only real issues with a IV are with the transmission mounts getting wollowed out. Make are it's nice and tight in there and if they upgraded the frame with the top front t-20 supports even better
l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!

Ken,Hopefully u can look it over in person, if so check for chewed or missing teeth on chain idlers at transmission, this seems to be a tell tale of a bent frame,or loose tranie. It can all be fixed, and wrenching on your new toy is half the fun.

Just viewed some good pictures of the engine area and everything looks real good, so I am going to head out of state and pick it up. Thanks for the advice.
