max 4 questions

just found a max 4 with a kawasaki 440cc engine. was that ever an engine option in these machines or is it someones own creation? it looks to be a round headlight machine from the pics. what year range would that put it in?

The 440 Kawasaki was actually a factory Recreatives engine in the Max IV and the Max II. This is a very good motor too. If it has the round headlights and the 440 Kawasaki motor it is most likely and early 1980's model I believe. Hopefully it will be another addition to your 6x6 collection.

I have an 85 maxIV with the Kawi 440 from the factory.. Its a fast engine, but Im looking to swap it out with a vanguard as soon as I find a used one at the right price.
