Max 11 engines

Hi Guys
Has any one fitted a Kawasaki FD620D 20hp V twine water cooled 4 stroke engine to a Max II and would it fit ok? anything to change? also are these engines any good for the Max?

The FD620D is a great engine with it's own minor fuel related issues, will be a chore to get under the body of a Max unless it's the later style flat top.

The Kawasaki does take a lot of space up under the hood, I've never seen this particular transplant but do believe Jim is correct that the late model Max2 flat hood would be the best candidate. There are several air cooled options. I prefer the Kohler 20 Command engine. Its some serious power and torque in a relatively small package.

I have both the flat and sunk Max II, I have a Briggs and Stratton 16 and 18hp at mo, just fancy more HP!
Are the water cooled ones ok?

I prefer water cooled over air cooled. Quieter, longer lived, etc.
