  • One axle longer than the rest

Im in the process of re-doing the bearings on my '94 Max ii. And it appears the previous owner put in a new axle which is roughly an inch longer than the rest. It was noticeable with the tires on and I did have a slight drag.

Now the obvious best fix is to order a new one the right size. But until i get the cash to do so, is there a best spot I should place it on the max to minimize any drag? Was originally on the front right, should I perhaps move it to the middle?

    Thanks for any feedback!

I 'm not sure how the longer axle csuses drag. Perhaps bad bearings?
Well, once you save money to buy a new correct length axle you can sell the longer one and get some money back. Put it up for sale in the Parts For Sale forum.

I made my axles 1" onger when I did my first attex then broke a few axles and used older and shorter ones just looked funny did not drag. Just put new bearings. If you can afford it in the long run will save you time and frustration of tearing it down again. GOOD LUCK
