Pushing the sticks forward?
The drive in forward is the brakes in reverse & opposite.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
Joe Camel never does that.

If you pull both sticks back at the same time in reverse it works,
but
when you pull one stick back it seems to slip and not want to go

make sure the steering sticks have a enough clearance in the tub holes. And the shifter has enough clearance. Is it split shifted? Do not think this is your problem but worth checking, GOOD LUCK

Sounds like mine, insure that both sides of tranie are all the way engaged, if not one side will pop out n reverse making a horrible noise.

It looks like I didn't have both sticks in right position
but seems to steer but very sensitive in reverse.

Awkward? Yes takes a bit of stick time, springs make it jerkier.
