Pissed off!

On my max IV I had a couple of leaking bearings, I changed all the bearings, used the 3M strip caulk and silicone, did it just like mike does in his video, I still have two leaking bearings! I have tried everything! They are brand new! If by some miracle someone has a suggestion that I haven't thought of please spread the wisdom. Thanks in advance.

Try squirting Marine Grease in the zerks.

I have greased them with marine grease. I will try filling it up and seeing exactly where it's coming from and let u know. And a lot of people on here say the strip caulk is ok so I doubt that's the problem.

New bearings with eccentric collars will leak at the axle a bit. I place a very small string of strip chalk on the axle behind the collar before setting it. I work it into the area between the axle and bearing by turning the collar by hand then lock it. Been doing this for years and find the axles haven't rusted as bad on any I've had to disassemble. checking for exact spot for leaks is great idea. I've had missing rivits and they leak bad.

Not being sarcastic but put a nice bilge pump in it. I'm in the water more than on land with my "fishing max" and over time even after all new bearings it leaks. Even after greasing often as I could water still finds its way in. Kinda just the nature of the beast. Good suggestions by others that will help but it's inevitable water finds its way in if you spend any amount of time on the water.

Yup, water always finds its way in. Mine leaks. I drain it. Grease it. Enjoy it.
I also have a new bilge pump kit, still in the package. I only cross narrow creeks and don't need it yet. Thrre are large ponds but I've stayed out of them.

Ok so I put water in the tub and the 3M strip caulk has let me down. I'll will fix the leaks with silicone. Thanks and by the way I have dual bilge pumps but just can't stand the fact that it's leaking. That's like having a boat that leaks...just can't have that.

Don't go to silicone yet, take some more 3M strip caulk and run a rope of strip caulk around the outside of the flanges that are leaking. There is probably no need to take things apart. And I agree, you shouldn't settle for a 6x6 that leaks. If you have replaced everything, you shouldn't have any leaks and if you do, they can always be fixed.
