  • Fuel Petcock

I have a 99 MaxII and a 02 MaxIV. Do either of these machines have a fuel petcock that I can't see? I need to know, so that if I do need to put one in, I can. I know that I won't be driving or starting these machines often enough that I want to keep fuel in the carbs, and I would like to be able to run the carbs dry when parking it for a few months at a time.

    Thanks,

    Judson

Most machines were produced with few options to keep production costs down, as such look to the fuel line coming out of the tank and follow it to the carb., if you don't find one that isn't hidden under the upper body, then chances are it doesn't have one.
Its cheap and easy to add one, and its a good way to keep most of the fuel from varnishing up in the carb.

Thank you very much guys. I was planing on doing it, but I just wanted to make sure it didn't already have one that I didn't see, or had the option for one, or anything like that. I am certainly going to put one on both of my machines.
