    Maybe easy for some belive in lots of grease and preventive maintaince !! How mutch play should be in the drive belt new belt about 20 hours ago but have 2 and 1/4 inch play ??? The bad part is when I popped the top I found a shiny peace of cast aluminum laying in the bottom now I searching for what brokethanks for any feed back

    I think it is 1-3/4". Check the operators manual on the front page of the forum in the literature section: Max ATV Manuals.

      Thanks mike found it 1-1/16 in wide and 1-1/4 play now to figure out where the metal peace came from

          You are running a Mav IV if I remember right. Your proper belt width will be 1 3/16 OR 1 1/4 " wide. I like the 1 1/4" and run them on the tight side....it gives more lower end. With the rubber motor mounts it makes the belt act as though it has more slop than it measures. If the machine is hard to shift with nothing but grinding at idle, or runs away at idle, that's when the belt is too tight.

            Tried to post pitcher of part but will have to waite for son to return home to show me how not good with electronics but thinking it might of came from primary clutch it makes load clunk noise when the motor goies to idele
