Mudd-Ox/Max Pricing

I by no means am trying to start a debate or be disrespectful but why did Mudd-Ox/Max prices skyrocket? Believe it or not "a certain other place" is actually cheaper on just about all the parts I've been looking for. I started looking when the throttle handle price changes were noticed. I usually always try to buy from the vender/someone I trust. I haven't ordered anything yet. I'm not looking for an answer its just something I noticed.

I believe Fritz at max6x6.com gets his parts from Muddox Inc. I've asked about some prices and was told "supply prices increased".
