  • Looking for Max 4 Mechanic in NM.

I just purchased a Max 4 serial number is 10961. I am in search of someone to work on this machine in New Mexico. I have called multiple shop's but no one wants to work on the machine. If someone knows anyone that is in NM that would really help me out.

I need to replace the chains on the machine but not sure where I can purchase them. I also need some direction on how to set the tension. Also, do I need to remove the engine to change the transmission oil?

For parts go to Max6x6.com | Max Atv Parts | Mudd-Ox Atv To tension chains all the wheels must be off the ground. The front and center chains Use piece of wood to push down on the idler sprockets then retighten them. The primaries are adjusted in the back by the 3/4" adjustment nuts. To change trans fluid use a suction gun with a 1/4" flexible hose. It's a bit of a pain but not too bad once you've done it a time or two. Just make sure the vent plug goes back it the top and refill it with a long flexible funnel until it runs out the bottom hole. That's the fill line. Hope this helps, enjoy your new toy.
What it lacks in ground clearance it makes up for with traction.
