MaxII short video

I've only had this MaxII for a couple weeks. so far all I have done is service the T-20(fluid change), grease the bearings and give everything a once over. I want to add a winch, windshield, snowplow and a few other mods eventually. Overall, I like the machine, but in this video I am running wide open and it feels to me like the max speed is around 15mph. Maybe this is due to the 14hp Vanguard? I want to at least do the carb mod and get 16hp out of it. It only has 94 original hours and the belt looks fine. I may eventually upgrade the motor. For now, it is fine but I had hoped for a little more speed (at least 25mph). Any advice or info on how to increase the top end much appreciated. RR

It definitely seems slower than it should be. Start with the basics. Check the belt to make sure it is not worn. Then make sure it it adjusted/tensioned properly. Next, check to make sure that the CVTs are working as they should be. Then, check the engine to make sure it is reaching full RPM.

Mike, If I can get the kind of speed like yours has in the beginning of the video, I will be very content. Very cool video. I did notice the belt was kind of loose on mine, but I thought that was the way it is supposed to be. I will try adjusting it first, then dig deeper if needed. Thanks. RR
