  • Greasing the inside rear axle

Ok ,I tried to use my regular grease gun to grease my Max IV, however the inside rear axle on the right rear is so close to the sprocket I can not get to it. Is there a special adapter to do it? Thanks

Try a extension hose on the gun, and/or a swivelling, angled end piece.

I just put new flanges with gease nipples on my '93 Max IV (original setup did not have inside greaseable bearings). I attached an extension hose to each nipple and ran that hose back to the outside of the engine compartment, then attached another nipple to the hose. I filled the hose with grease, and now to get grease into the bearing it takes only a couple of pulls on the gun trigger. I considered using epoxy to fix the hose to the flange nipple but didn't as the hoses seem pretty tight. We'll see what happens once I start chasing beavers again. Can't wait for the snow to clear!
