I assume the axle is broken? If it's broken outside the tub bearing pull the track and try to drive home. If it's inboard the sprocket and drive for the one side I'd gone and chains will ball up if you try to drive it. The only broken axles Ive seen on track max outside the cages came in with very high tire pressure. Had one at 30 psi on all tires. He broke all four corner axles one winter. Max 6x6 . Com should still have some axles. Good luck.

Ya it broke just outside of the bearing cage! I plan on driving it out of here i have gotten the track off that side and it seems to move around alright just have a bad stretch to make it through is all! Ya we just bought it a few days ago and the guy said it was all set and ready to go i checked the oil and everything else and totaly missed checkin the pressure i thought they looked a little inlfated but it didnt realize i would snap an axle! My machine is a 2005 max iv 950t does anyone have any hints at getting this axle out its the left rear right under motors clutch side cant really see much doesnt look to fun to fix any tips would be great!

pull engine to gain access, i'd pull the t-20 also. makes it a lot easier. good time to learn the ropes of a MAX IV. i would cut the old axle out and then remove sprockets once in their.

When I removed the engine and transmission from our Max IV I took a picture of every thing I removed, using my cell phone. Every nut, bolt, wire. This way I would know what steps to follow when I put it all back together.
Taking pics of each step of the way works well. Just reverse the order for reessembly.
Now, I can "do it all" ,without pics.
