    how often does the plungers need adjustment or am I thinking wrong when changeing from forward to revirse small rocking motion smooth to revirse but when changeing to forword no mater how hard you pull back on laderals usealy get grinding or bad clunk could it be to high of idel moves forword without even touching laderals when in forword ideling at 1980 to 2100 rpms

    Sounds like high idle or a tight belt. The plunger adjustment will have no effect on shifting.

      I agree on the idle being to high. I adjust my machines to just above stalling when warmed up. As for plunger adjustment it really depends on driving style. I adjust mine all the time because it bothers me when the sticks start to feel sloppy.

        just poped the top and the govener isnt comeing all the way back not even close to the set screw thought I just adjusted it last spring when I found i had put an extra spring for some odd reason so now goining to readjust it again thanks for all the help ahha found the throdle wasnt comeing all the way back got low ldel back whitch works great for winter but in summer l lose high rpms low is 1430 rpms and high no load 3210
