IMG_0030.jpgIMG_0033.jpgIMG_0034.jpghere is more pictures. by the way most of this work has been done outside with a high temp of 20 degrees. so as you can see i need some new chain. I dont believe that these were O-ring chains but they are worn out. these were running from the t-20 to the drive gear they are #50 chains, I have #60 chain running from the drive gear to the center axle. Mark from 2-D MAX in Fairbanks thinks that i have a hybrid drive train of a MAX 2 and a buffalo truck. The biggest problem is trying to find the right belt. the one picture has the mesurements of the current belt at 53" the local shop could not find one the same size but could find one long and one shorter. I think the shorter of 52" will work because the motor was pushed back almost to the end of the adjustment slides.

I was going to start a Buffalo truck belt thread but will put it here. The first trucks were listed as # 6810. The ones I've seen before serial #12832 had the kohler magnum opposed engine and ran a1930V530 belt. After that the v twin engine was moved forward and ran 1930v491 belt. I was told by the factory many years ago the trucks started out with a 2 drive and a 4 frame. The pics I've seen of this machine look like factory mounts ect.
For those of you out there building something that uses an odd belt this may help. http://www.optibelt-usa.com/fileadmi...ED_CATALOG.pdf
The comet clutches used by RI use a 19 wide belt 30 degrees. http://www.hiperf.com/acatalog/beltdimensions.pdf
This link also has belt dimensions. I have used 1 1/4" wide belts with these clutches with ok performance.
I've been using the variable speed belts from https://www.vbeltguys.com/products/1...ble-speed-belt
