  • Tie bumper into frame

Have the front bumper just about done for the max 2. Acts as a body band for the front end, and holds the winch plate. #100 chain gives a place to hook a chain to pull or be pulled. Currently is bolted to the machine through 8 grade 8 bolts and wing nuts through the center band. Should I tie it into the frame of the machine to keep stress off the plastic?

I guess I am not following you on how you have this attached to the AATV..when you say "Currently is bolted to the machine through 8 grade 8 bolts and wing nuts through the center band. " do you mean, through that center plate above the winch mount? If so, I would strongly suggest finding a better way to distribute the attach points so as to not stress one point in the plastic should you need to pull or be pulled. My winch plate is welded to a somewhat similar front wrap bumper, (but it only wraps the corners)....and is bolted using the front 2-3 top to tub wing nuts as well as a few bolts thru the top and a backing plate on the other side of the plastic top, near the gas tank.

It sits on the machine's lip and uses the factory placed bolts which hold the top tub to the lower. Was not clear in stating that.

I believe that would be fine.
