  • 93 Max II Axle Replacement

In the process of replacing my old axles. Got the fronts of with a little effort but not too bad. One collar seized and one bolt had to be cut off. I have a inner bushing, no inner bearings.

The sprockets are bolt on and come off pretty easily.

My questions are: Has anyone replaced axles without removing the drive chain assy. by feeding the new axles thru and into the hanging sprockets? And is it possible to replace the rear driver side without removing the engine?

    Thx Mike

You can replace the axles without removing the chains if you want. I don't know about removing the rear driver side axle without removing the engine. I've always pulled everything out when doing mine. It's just four bolts and will probably make your life easier. You can always just try to do it without removing the engine but it's tight in there.

    Good luck with the replacement.
