New batt is in I've moved the machine 10 ft one day then another 50 ft to the barn everything was off, key, lights etc went back a couple days later to a dead batt as soon as the jump box was on it started right up. Yes I loosened the neg and pos connections before I jumped it and redid them thinking it could be a bad connection. I'm open to opinions. Did a year 2000 max have key switch problems???

You have a draw. Do you have a radio remote control winch control? I find most of them will draw a battery down in a few days. Possibly a bad voltage regulator going to ground. Look up testing for a parisitic draw. It has to test well under 50 mili amps to keep charged for more than a couple months.

Did the heated cable switch get knocked on?

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
        Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

No heated cable on the machine. The motor is brand new have you seen that from a voltage regulator on a new motor? I guess anything is possible.

Charge the battery and do a amp draw test with a multi meter. I have found even though everything is off if you dont disconnect the battery there will be a draw over time.

My max has been parked since June and I moved it the other day no problem. I dont keep any battery minders or anything on it just the negative disconnected.
